Last week we were supposed to take delivery of a truck load of new Bafang motors. Long story short, the shafts didn’t quite reach our stringent standards. Bafang has been very responsive and we’re working together to make new shafts to a standard worthy of FLX approval. While they have shipped around 200,000 of this model motor with the current shaft, we know they can do better and we made a tough call to hold off on delivery until the standard is tightened. New shafts are being made now and we expect to take delivery in about 1 week.
We know this unforeseen circumstance comes as a blow to you as you’ve been waiting patiently for your bike. We hope you understand why we’ve made this tough decision and that your experience with the end product is our top priority. We could have shipped bikes months ago if we dropped all QC standards, but that’s not what FLX is about. Thank you for your understanding and supporting us through this production stretch!
