Love this Bike! Added on a throttle which is very convenient for quick speed if needed. Comfortable riding position. Looking forward to many miles of bike paths - including Yosemite Valley. I can keep up with my husband on his non-electric (or as he calls it - acoustic) bike. The only change I would like to see is puncture resistant tires.
Recently purchased this beauty, and I must say it is so much better than I expected. Being in Florida it is ALWAYS too hot typically for bike riding, but now that I have a bike that does the work for me and I am comfortable while doing so, I prefer this method for my commute to work for sure! Easy to use and comfortable just as advertise.
F5 It’s a well-made bike having a lot of fun with it just wish I could get a belt drive kit for it like my baby maker has
I test road this bike at the Chicao IMS and had to return the next day to try it again. That clinched the sale. This bike rocks!
Great time lots of fun, more of a bmx style ergonomics but its great on the road
Loving my babymaker!!
I am very happy with the TOURING PACKAGE. Thank you very much.
The Touring Package is a great addition to the Babymaker PRO. Me and my wife watched the YouTube video and installed everything supplied. The phone holder, the front and rear lights, the bottle holder, cargo rack and fenders. Earlier in the year I purchased the Pannier bags and installed them at the same time. We went from two cars to one. Having the PMP and accessories make for a splendid alternate form of transportation and enjoyment. In my opinion, well worth the wait!
I’ve owned my BM for almost 4 months and have suggestions on how you can extend your ride, battery, etc. I want to thank Mark the mechanic at FLX as well.
1. Fully charge the battery the first few times - I mean 6 hours minimum. And, charge the battery fully before you ride every ride. This avoids error messages (I’ve had a couple).
2. When you are slowing done to a Stop sign or Stop light, throttle/shift down to power level 1. Then, when you start riding, you can shift up to whatever power level suits your ride, grade, etc. If you were to start at level 3 or greater from a dead stop, you’re using up more battery juice. So start at 1, then go to 2, 3, and so on.
3. Keep a constant pedal pressure. I found that even at Level 4 or 5, if I keep a constant and steady pedal pressure (not hammering all out, but not just letting the wheels spin), my battery life did not diminish as much as simply letting the bike power take over.
4. If you see a drop in a power level bar, shift down one or two levels (for ex., from level 4 to 3) and with constant pedal pressure, your missing bar will reappear.
I ride road bikes, used to race, and I love the BM for the simple fact that it gives me an alternative way to commute and plus it’s a lot of fun. As someone has said - “you can’t take the smile off my face.”
Great looking and fun to ride. Electric assist is super helpful for navigating stress points in my suburban commute like bridges over train tracks. The bike is great for last mile connections to transit and eats up hills so I don' get sweaty getting to the office. The assist actually increases my cadence and I get a better workout when trying to get exercise.
this bike is steaming hot, from its looks to tearing up the streets.I am a senior citizens and i love my baby maker pro plan to use this bike till i drop dead.....HOPE THAT does not happen for a least another twenty years......THANKS FLX FOR A GREAT BIKE,,,,,I love her she is so sweet.
I had my bike now since april I ride it at least 3 x per week. I have done over 500 miles. I love the ride mostly when windy here in Chicago. The battery allows me to go at least 40 miles on 3 and 50 miles on 2. occasionaly I use 5. My friends tells me that is not as much exercise as a regular bike. i have place a heart monitor a rode my regular bike and the babymaker in the same route. i can tell you that is great exercise, my heart rate was almost identical on both bikes. i have kept records on both bikes and I can burn as many calories on the babymaker as on my regular bike. I love not to have to fight the wind and the hills. is a lot of fun thanks.
Received by bike last week and got it dialed in very easily (took longer to remove the packaging) and couldn't be more pleased. I bought this bike so that I could start commuting to work and drop the extra weight I gained last year. The test ride was effortless and have to say my first ride to work today was a breeze. The quality of the bike is impressive and it was definitely worth the wait. It took awhile to get the bike but I had initially ordered a TREK and that wasn't available until November of this year. Thanks FLX team!
It took 369 days to get this bike but Wow! was it worth it. My twin brother and I cruise on our Babymaker Pros from Irvine to Huntington beach twice a month. It's the only way to chill while enjoying the views.
My F5 "Midnight" is pretty, powerful, well built & fast. Nothing like me. I've only got 25 miles on it but I think it's rubbing off. The smile on my face when I'm riding definitely makes me better looking.
